Blog Swap with Making the World Cuter

Hello Making the World Cuter Fans! It is great to "see" you. I hope you love what you see and take a minute to look around. I

Now onto introducing Tiffany. I am super excited to be swapping blogs with her today.

Hello all you Vision readers!
I am excited to be swapping with Bobbie today-she's got some fantastic ideas!
Let me introduce myself.
I'm Tiffany, you can call me Tiff.

...and I take pictures here at Pumpernickel Buttons. Photography.
I am mom to these 3 little munchkins who keep me on my toes, and expecting baby #4 this fall!
I have a little tutorial for you today...I had my first doctors appointment yesterday, and it was going to be a long one-especially dragging my kids along for the ride.
I needed something new for them to do to hold their interest longer than one of their existing things I have made them.
I grabbed a cracked old clipboard and painted the backside with chalkboard paint to begin with.
Then I took a fat quarter and cut it to be a little bigger than the clipboard. Then I folded over the edges and pressed and sewed them all the way around.
With more of that same fat quarter I made a little pocket on the piece of fabric.
Then I sewed straight lines up the pocket to make a place to put crayons, a pencil and some chalk. I made a bigger pocket to put a piece of felt to use as an eraser.
With a hole punch, I measured where the fabric would hit the clip of the clipboard and punched a hole. To make it more sturdy you could put a grommet or big eyelet-I just put a ribbon through both holes and tied it in a knot. Then using my glue gun I glued the edges down on the top.
The fabric serves two purposes, first of all a place to hold all of their stuff. Secondly, chalk is messy and this will protect their laps from all the dust when they are coloring on the paper.

I painted a tic tac toe board on the chalkboard with acrylic paint and stocked the front with lots of paper, the fabric can easily be flipped over the front or back-and the kids were good to go.
Of course I now need to make them each one of their own, and for the boys I think I will use mini-clip boards just for easier handling.

Thanks Bobbie again for the fun swap!

I hope to see you all come over and say hi to me,
and join in the party this Monday for Making the World Cuter Monday!

Thanks again Tiff for the great idea! It is super cute and I know that my Daughter would love one!
