Easy Monogramed Wreath Tutorial

I have slowly been working on the ginormous wall above my piano.  The 3rd piece that I have added is this cute monogram wreath.  It was a simple and quick addition to the wall.  Plus it cost next to nothing!  Mine kind of project!

 

First I made the wreath at the same time as the one that is on my front door HERE

Then I took some Vinyl from +Expressions Vinyl in Middle Gray and Turquoise Blue

Then in the +Silhouette America online store I found a file called "Frame 2".  I did a little editing to the frame and deleted the little frame circles inside the frame and then I deleted the inside frame. 

Then I found a font that I liked the "S" in and cut that out in the turquoise blue vinyl

Before I put the vinyl on the way I layered the 2 vinyl pieces that I cut.  Then placed it on the wall where I wanted it.  Then I hung up the wreath.

This whole project seriously took me less than an hour.  Even with waiting for the paint to dry.  I did however paint the wreath a few days before I hung it up on the wall.

I love how my wall is turning out.  Its full of color and isn't so BLAH!

Turquoise and Burlap Ribbon Wreath: A Vision to Remember Instagram feed

Seriously, I am the worst at making sure I have a wreath on my door. I didn't take my one down from Christmas until after Valentines day. A red wreath totally works for both holidays right?!?

Finally added a wreath to my front door after not having one since Christmas. Love that it is #simple. If it was anything complicated it wouldn't of happened.

For this simple wreath I spray painted a wooden wreath that I found at +Deseret Industries for a couple bucks.  

Then I used some burlap printed ribbon and tied a simple bow.  Voila.  A simple, easy, and quick wreath.  Plus it was cheap.  Win...Win!

Scrap Project: Ruffled Flower Wreath

As you all know....I am a scrap hoarder.   I have at least 3 large garbage bags full.  Seriously!  I need to use it...well at least some of it.  So here is my first project a Ruffled Flower Wreath...

I used 2 different methods to ruffle the fabric.  One is from HERE and the other from HERE

My fabric pieces were anywhere from 1/2 inch to 2 inches wide.  Most were 44 inches long some were a little shorter.  They all were not exactly straight cuts.  Many of them were the pieces that I trimmed off the edge of fabric to straighten it up or the little leftover piece when I finished off a piece of fabric. 

Then after I ruffled all the pieces I rolled them into flower looking pieces.  Then I cut a piece of cardboard into a square about 18 x 18 inches.  Then I hot glued all the fabric onto the cardboard.  It was really easy and with those easy ruffling techniques it was really quick (about an hour)

Easter Egg Wreath Tutorial

This fun Easter Egg wreath was so much fun to make with my daughter.  She LOVED hot gluing all the eggs.   I even let go of my OCDness for a minute and didn't care so much where each egg went. 



I have had all of the supplies for this wreath for a couple of weeks but finally had time to sit down and help my daughter make it.

HOW TO MAKE THE EASTER EGG WREATH:

Find a piece of cardboard that is flat and then find something that is round (or whatever shape you are wanting) and trace out the shape.

(keep in mind my daughter was taking the pictures :)
Here is our cardboard circle all cut out

Now take your hot glue gun and glue the eggs randomly onto the wreath.  I used 2 packages of 42 eggs to make our wreath.  The wreath measures about 16 inches wide.

Then we tied a nice little bow with grosgrain ribbon onto the wreath.
