The Easiest Bag on the Planet to Sew

I am not joking when I say that this is the easiest bag to sew on the planet!  I have had this bag pattern in mind for a few months, but just haven't had an excuse to sew it up.

I work with Achievement Day 8-9 year old girls from my Church (the Church of Jesus Christ) every other week doing crafts, learning about religion, cooking, and other general things that might be helpful for a young girl to know.  This week we decided it was time to do a craft.

As usual, I put off figuring out the exact dimensions of this bag that I had in mind until 10 minutes before the girls came knocking.  Last minute....I know.  Not a very good example to a young girl?  Probably, but they didn't know that I had waited.  But I will be better.

I think my absolute favorite part of the purse is the lace zipper detail.  The zipper is optional and the lace zipper was such a breeze to add to the bag.  Way easier than any other zipper I've done before!

I love the handles.  Aren't they fun with the contrasting top stitching?!

The inside of the bag features a "smaller" pocket.  Ok...Its not really small.  It fits my Iphone 6+ in it.  On the other side of the bag is a larger divider pocket.

My favorite part is this little girl wanting to "model" her bag for me.  She is such a crack up!

"Here is the purse I made from your pattern. It was really fun to make.  My husband actually helped a lot too. It was really fun! We are excited about our little Lillie coming soon!!!  We have decorated her room with ladybugs! This is my first baby and I am sure I will be making a lot more fun things for her. I don't really sew so me making this purse was a BIG deal. LOL! My next project is going to be to make her roman blind curtains for her room using red gingham. So do any of you have any suggestions for her?
I have made 1 roman blind with my moms help.  It was really easy.  My suggestion is to make sure to get a really sturdy bracket.

New Rag Quilt Purse Pattern

I have been sewing up a storm the last 2 weeks. I had an idea for a rag quilt purse/diaper bag pattern one day and I have not been able to stop sewing them. It is definitely my newest most favorite thing that I have been sewing lately.
Here I am, in my PJ's Modeling it for you all. These are the kind of pictures I get when I try and self photograph.
